Durham College Critical Care Program

The combined ICU/CCU at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and Milton District Hospital sites are committed to providing Registered Nurses with an opportunity to grow their career in Critical Care. Since 2007, the unit has supported new graduate and experienced medical/surgical Registered Nurses in a combined academic program and practical orientation process through the "Critical Care Nursing Hub of Excellence" at Durham College. The program includes e-learning courses, simulation education and hands-on preceptored experience in our Critical Care Unit. Upon successful completion of the course, Registered Nurses receive a Level 3 Critical Care Certificate from Durham College.
