Practice Excellence

Responding to a rapidly-changing clinical environment and influences such as new legislation, regulatory standards of practice, new and emerging technology, safety initiatives and research based best practices requires an organizational response that includes appropriate policy development, education, implementation, evaluation and monitoring. Currently, some of the initiatives we are focusing on are significant changes to the medication management and administration processes, enhancing expertise in Safer Elder Care, and enhancing communication between nurses through the implementation of best practices for transfer of care (shift report).
