Georgetown Hospital Visiting Hours
Visitors can be "good medicine" for our patients and speed up their recovery process. Family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern. In order to enhance the quality of care, specific visiting hours and regulations have been established for each unit.
Family and friends are encouraged to visit patients throughout the day. Our general visiting hours are from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. Each patient may have two visitors at a time.
Special Visitor Guidelines apply in some units:
Please check beforehand with the nursing units for clarification of guidelines or exceptions in a particular unit.
Visitors are asked to keep visits short and only to one or two visitors at a time.
Obstetrics Unit
A maximum of two people may visit the patient.
Partners - Unrestricted visitation
Emergency Department
Adult patients may have one adult companion with them during their stay.
Children are always allowed to have their parents or guardians with them.
Paediatric Rooms
Parents or Guardians may stay with their child 24 hours a day. Up to two additional relatives may visit during regular visiting hours.
