Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Visiting Hours

Visitors can be "good medicine" for our patients and speed up their recovery process. Family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern at HHS. In order to enhance the quality of care, specific visiting hours and regulations have been established for each unit.

Family and friends are encouraged to visit patients throughout the day. Our general visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.
Visitors are asked to keep visits short and only to one or two visitor at a time.

Maternal Child Unit
    Birthing Suite
    No visiting

    Maternity
    Partners Unrestricted
    General Visiting 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

    Paediatrics
    Unrestricted visiting by parents
    General visits - 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

    Special Care Nursery
    No general visiting.
    Open visiting for parents, grandparents and siblings

Psychiatric Department
Adult Unit
    General Admissions 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m weekdays, 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday.

    Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit
    4:00 pm to 8:00 pm

    All visitors must check with nurses' station prior to visiting the patient.

    Child/Adolescent Unit
    Immediate family only
    6:30 pm to 7:30 pm for children <13 years old
    7:30 pm to 8:30 pm for adolescent 13+ years
Complex Continuing Care Unit
11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. & 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
