Inpatient Rehabilitation
The Acute Care Rehabilitation Service provides clinical therapies (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology and Audiology) to support all acute care patients throughout the hospital. Rehabilitation treatment is provided to patients of all ages with medical conditions varying from straightforward and simple to complex, multi-system problems. A strong clinical team provides co-ordinated, goal focused therapeutic care which supports early discharge with appropriate outpatient or community support services.

Complex Continuing Care Unit
Our twenty bed Complex Continuing Care Unit is the first step in long term care placement. Rehabilitation is provided to maximize and stabilize the patient's condition so that the most appropriate placement can be made. Patients are encouraged to wear their own clothing and personalize their room with photos, radios, favourite quilts or afghans. As part of the admission process, an assessment is done by Nursing, Physio and Occupational Therapy and Dietary. Each of these disciplines will make recommendations regarding care, seating, rehabilitation plans and dietary needs and preferences.
